NOOOO Italy (Soccer)
did anyone else see the quater finals today with italy and spain?
i thought that Italy was trying to keep their defence up and rely on the penalty shots at the end since they were not making hardely any shots
backfired on them tho if that was the case

I'm a fan of Spain and truthfully (without thinking I'm a fan), I think Spain deserve to win that game. They played well, created a lot of chances and such...they just don't the luck to score against giant teams like Italy, England, France, Holland, Portugal.
I'm pretty glad the 88 cursed years of Spain (not winning any major tournaments) has ended.
I think Italy focused on defense because they had a few players on yellow cards, and when Italy starts playing offensive...they tend to play really aggressive. So the Italian coach's strategy is to set his team playing defensively and to force the game into a penalty shoot-out like you mentioned.

I'm going to be given a lot of grief about this when I get home from uni. I have a friend who I play PES with quite a lot, I'm always Italy and he's always Spain (so you can guess who we were going for  )
