is it an ad in the general sense of the word? bc if that is an "add" then it wouldnt fit the standards of todays needs for ads.
on an asethetic level, i enjoy it a lot.

Sorry, I kinda posted it in the after a 12 and 1/2 hour shift of work. I wasn't very aware of what I was doing, heh.
It was for my Art History class, and we were studying the effect of Abstration and Impressionalsim (a bad spelling of it, too) in advertising. Anyhoo, it is suposed to be an abstract ad, where you show something of that product that leads to small bits of info that make the viewer think of the meaning.
For intance, the eye is that of Squall's *SPOILER* when he get's Ice Striked by by Edea. In the eye, you see Edea smirking and Rinoa sheirking in horror, thus connectiong the images. *END SPOILER*
On top is the FF VIII logo, and the "FITHOS LUSEC WECOS VINOSEC" thing. The ad is to pull you in and make you wonder, "the hell is going on?" and the Latin-like words are to make you wonder what they mean. The consumer is supposed to be drawn the images and saying and buy it/rent it to figure out their meaning and HOPEFULLY enjoy the game.
I hope that makes sense, heh. I have two more in the seris that I want to post as soon as I get them into .jpeg format.

Yeah. I'm in trianing to be a graphic desgner, and I used Photoshop CS2. I have other junk related to FF from my major, but I'm unsure how to get things up online that aren't picture files. I think you guys would like 'em and I need the feedback anyway. Two are in my personal file. The grayscale is the before and the colored version is an airbrush effect I had to do or my Advance design class. I had to airbrush it one color at a time. I'm always looking for new auidences to comment on my work to make me better at what I do.
And thanks for the comments, it means a lot to hear them.

its a good add and i get it, but you should put Final Fantasy VIII at the bottom kinda big or soemthing so they know the name of the product annnnnd can be searching for the meaning of the ad and be interested.

Yeah, I see what you mean. The purpose of those the placement was to have it in the back of their heads. Think of it this way: they see the logo, but they don't, and they know what it's for, but they don't know why.

If your talking about the the first Ice strike on, I tried that first, but it looked uninterestiing. When I put the antogaonist in there, then things got good.
