I can't watch videos on this fossil of a computer. But, if it's the video I think it is, then I've seen it on G4techtv. And, it was awesome. Have you guys seen the video with the thousands of leaves flying around? It's amazing, I think they said they can progam each individual leaf to have it's own flight path.

i recognized the software developed to do most of those physics demos. ok not "recognized" but i know what software they used.
i believe it was an article in popular science that talked about how some graphics nerd found a way to render 3D animations realtime. last i heard it was going to be used to make 3D movies done faster, though i guess i shouldent be supprised to see it being used in the PS3 tech demo's as Sony Pictures was one of the corporations that started funding the guy to continue his program.
it works by only recalculating the physics of the immediate area that is touched rather than the whole model. this allows physics to run with less CPU power (and in essence work on slower machienes as well. cant wait to see HL2 incorporate this)
ill look for the article. it was like a Popular Science mag about 4-6 months ago. so if you are PopS reader look though your mag library.
hopefuly all games will use this technology to their advantage =)
