Now I'm at the part where the party is heading to the Tomb of er..(what king already?), to get the Dawn thing for Ashe. You guys helped a lot by providing the tips actually, I beared them all in mind and find the game quite interesting...just a bit tiring like you guys said in a topic.

Btw, I learned a few quickenings for my character...but I felt like something is not right. Is it like a certain character bound to learn a specific Quickening? Cuz I've unlocked Fire Spiral and another different one for Vaan, Feral Spirit for Fran, etc...and it looks like the quickenings doesn't belong to them. Is it ok?

And I've decided to make my characters specilise into certain weapons...I made Vaan hold a 1H sword (later I'll switch to Ninja Swords), Fran with Bow, Balthier with Gun, Basch with Axe & Shield, Ashe with Staff or Pole (made her the caster).

Lol, somehow I made Lady Ashe = Lady Yuna.

p.s: Chaining the skeletons at Lsusu mines were among the great tips, earned quite a lot of money and experience very early in the game. Thnx.

Raithwall! that was fairly quick!

you know how a lot of characters in ff games have limit breaks? clouds omnislash... squalls lion heart... etc. well these are just like them, and you can chain them with a break damage limit result! every person has three lvls of quickening, and two quickenings double max mp, three triple it.

you can p;lay the game any way you like really: theres total freedom in that aspect. i like magic, so everyone at the point you're at in my party had learned cura. and i stuck everyone with sword and shield, because... thats my fav weapon, apart from gunblade...

you really do have a lot of freedom as to what you make everyone specialise in.

Quickenings do not differ for each character no matter which licenses you buy. No matter what, everybody will always get the same three quickenings.

I like how you picked the types of weapons for your characters, and it is great that you chose to keep your ranged fighters, or else you would be messed up later in the game. Some people just give everybody one type of weapon which is a horrible idea.

Funny fact 1: I have barely even played the game myself. I get almost all of my knowledge from watching my brother play.

I think now I've understand what you meant by chaining the quickenings Pendez, awesome damage with more than 15 hits. Need to study more on the mists though.

o.0, you watched your bro played this game and gain so much knowledge? Thats what I call talent man.

well, they are essentially the same, just different names and graphics. vaans lvl 3 looks awesome!

wow, fifteen hits? thats a lot of talent yourself... i think the most ive managed is about 9... but it should be noted that you get different endings for whichever quickenings you use... 3 lvl 1 quickenings= inferno, and despite the names, they're all non-elemental...

Lol, that was you huh. Not bad idea though lol (the party of Sword of justice).

I've find a way of quick levelling up, works the same with online games (RTB battle systems). When you got a guest like Larsa (who has unlimited Hi-Potions and X-Potions), use only one character...run to all the aggressive monsters and gather them really near...then use area spells like Aero, dark, etc to kill them all at once...might need to do repeatedly and you'll gain tonnes of EXP. No need to worry abt HP cuz our guest has "unlimited" potions lol.

Now I'm on the way to Archadia through the Phon coast, and lol I saw that 16 treasure chests lining up on the beach.

I was so alert at that area I didn't touched any of the chests at Phon Coast! Turns out only the 16 chests at the beach is the ones we shouldn't touch right?

So far, my highest quickening chain is 17 with somewhere 25k damage...wat are the ways to increase the chance of chaining?

Play slapsies with a friend to help your reactions >_>. Anyway, a great way of levelling early on is when Penelo leaves your party (just before you break into the castle). Go to Migelos and buy as many phoenix downs as possible. Turn the battle speed to its lowest and head into the Westersand. Get your HP to less than 10% (save beforehand incase you combo and kill yourself), the head one screen north. You will encounter the rare game monster Dustia, just chuck a phoenix down on it and you get over 1000 exp. Do the fight say 6 times and you are alredy level 11 going into the castle (plus characters levels are based on the average)

Or you could do what I did and shovel out 30 bucks for an AR max gameshark (I found the game dull and repetitive so I used the shark to speed it up) but thats only if you don't want to play through the "legal way"

a great way of chaining would be to spend hours watching what each chain links come up to each chain...maybe there is a pattern...find out for youself?
