hey...so...i was trying to get my characters' HP to 7777 but i can't -.- i'm missing about 40 points...could anyone give me some tips please?

Go to the area where the enemies are the weakest and use potions if you go below 7777. Or do you mean that your max HP is 7740 or something?

When a character has 7777 Hitpoints, you will lose control over it and that character will continuously attack the enemies doing exactly 7777 damage. But as soon as that characters hitpoints changes it will stop being berserk.
i've been trying to do that...with HP plus materia and then with magic materia...but i can't >.<

I've personally done it before. First time was a fluke then I did it deliberately a few times. It's been quite a long time ago (like 6 years) since I last played it properly so I couldn't give you details.

:O fighting against ruby? lol kotr + mime takes too long >_> i had my lil bro press the buttons while i took a snooze >_> all i remember was a i took a good snooze then waking up to hear *ff7 victory song* :O
but yea its pretty hard to get lucky 7's  equip urself wif hp materials till your around 8000 hp? then add magics or stuff that lowers ur hp enuff then fight weak monsters? maby that'll work hmm

Yeah its def. possible, i've done it many many times.....although there no real tips i can give since i don't recall what level i was....the materia etc..etc.......the best you can do is try lots of random things xD

as long as you dont gloat: 'oyoyoy i was able to beat the weapons so im the best at the game'. I absolutely hate people that say things like that.
but yeah, its possible. possibly gauging how much damage a normal attack from a weapon would do, and then changing your team stats, using wall, and things like that to help the chances of it happening, but even with preparation, the chances are really low...

A method a lot of people seem to use (though its lengthy) is to use HP materia to get to 9999 HP, then fight a chocobo near midgar and get it to use chocobuckle when you've escaped exactly 2222 times.
Another way of getting it is fight Emerald Weapon with 9999 HP and exactly 2 materias on. When it does its Aire Tam attack, it will do 2222 damage hence triggering lucky 7s.
