it seems like everyone here....
it seems like everyone here only cares/knows about the new final fantasies. i'm not that old (19) but i grew up on old ff so that's still my favorite. i love 4 and 6. i should try playing some of the new ones even though i've been against it. i only played 9 b/c it was still pre modern and it was a good game! (but nobody here seems to think so) but 6 is still the best. i just didn't warm up to the guns and cars and crap. but i hear 7 is great and i should check it out, i heard 8 is really easy and boring, i didn't hear anything about 10, and X-2 looked so frickin lame.. especially the stupid pop song! i don't know what they were thinking w/ that. what do you all suggest checking out?

Ive been playing since FFII and I love all of the eariler versions as well, however since some people are still new to playing the latest FF games in the series that is the reason why many people are talking about the latest FF games

FFX > all. lol. I loved FFX, i felt more into that game than any other game I've ever played.
I only know about new FF games because I only discovered FF 6 months ago when I bought FFX.

That's not exactly true..I'm 22, and grew up with FF's 1-6. (My dad would bring them to me when he came home from work). I've been an old school gamer ever since. So there are some people who grew up with the older ones. But I'm rambling again(x.x), so back onto topic. You should check out Final Fantasy V and Dawn of Souls(for GBA). FFX is an excellent buy for the story, graphics, and refined battle system, and you should also try Chrono Trigger(If you like the old-school games).

*chuckles*
You want to talk old school?
I started out on Pong
I think I've played most of the FF games (except XI) and they all have their good points.....

I agree, just about all the games have their own good points (or bad points, as the case may be). I don't like to compare the new ones to the olds very much because the gaming industry and the nature of the games is very different now.
I've played pretty much every FF game released in the US, excluding some of the old Game Boys and newer PlayStation 1 releases, and they're all pretty good. FF isn't for everybody, though.
