Moogles don't do anything except in IX, in which case you get the Mognet, Save points, tents and items. Chocobos are useful in all FFs (except maybe X, I never played it because I just found the storyline to move too slowly.) to get around faster and to avoid fighting monsters.

Yep but it doesn't specify whether it's just in FF IX or all the other FF games and because it doesn't it would be natural to presume that it includes all other FF games as well.
