Final Fantasy 4 for the DS

Yes, they are remaking it for the DS. If it looks as good as FF3, then I can't wait to play it. Could you just imagine Cecil and Kaine in 3D? Anyways, can't wait.
Tell me your thoughts on this.

It looks cool. They are doing it the same way they did FF III.

I hope they don't change the way the game works, I like being able to save in dungeons!

You mean having the save points inside dungeons? They probably won't take that away.

Ya I ment the save points in the dungeons. 3 was the first Final Fantasy I had played in a long time where there were no save points in side the dungeons.

Wasn't IV the first game where they were introduced?

I think so. They are not in 1 or 2. 3 had been skipped until recently, and then there were still no save points in dungeons. Then once 4 came along there were save points in dungeons, so ya, 4 was the first to implement the in-dungeon save points.

Hurrah for ingenuity!

To be honest, I haven't even completed the original FF IV. I got stuck fighting the first enemy you encounter after sneaking into Baron Castle. My people are too weak and I'm too lazy to train them up in the sewers. Also the fact that I don't have enough potions/tents to keep healing them doesn't help either.

I got towards the end of the game, climbed all th way to the end of the dungeon just to find that I'm too weak to keep going. I was very sad.

My characters are also having troubles getting back out of the dungeon.

I keep trying, but I can't beat the 4 elemental dudes all in a row.

I'm so sad. Sad

On another note, anybody know the exact release date of IV for the DS.

It's still in production isn't it? I thought they were just adding the finishing touches.
