its still early to be comparing the ps3 graphics and xbox considering the difference between them being out. plus the launch titles for ps3 look graphically far better than the xbox launch games

I bought this game and beat it. an easy way to use the chain saw on tha Lancer asault rifle is to hold B then run up th the guy you want to kill. you have a greater chance of dying if u try to do it close up. Also an easy way to kill the final Boss, Raam, is to fight with a buddy. One of you target him with teh torque bow and the other be ready with the Lanser or the sniper rifle (i used the Lancer). HEAD SHOTS DO MORE DAMMAGE!  allthough fun i advise against using the chainsaw whith even 2 enemies in the area, the games AI make the enimies look out for each other, and the blood on the screen impares yuor vision to get in a clean shot.

this game kicks the utmost ass. I beat it on insane, but it had to be done in co- op. it's that F-ing hard.

what is it comparable to?
i played many shooters so u can go with any example i think.

Ive only played the game once (not all the way through or anything) but it is very unique to any shooter ive played before. For a start its 3rd person which is better than 1st person. It reminds me of Resident Evil 4 a little except on this you can duck and hide behind walls. Its quite strategical I think. You may have to really wait behind the wall for your moment to shoot. You probably have to just play it but its very different to alot of other shooters out there.
Oh and the graphics really make this game. They are the best ive ever seen for a game.

The game is entirely unique. you can fire your weapon without poking your head out, make a mad dash for everything, and the game is almost all strategy and teamwork. It doesn't depend too much on fighting skills unless you are sniping or having a shotgun fight. Stay away from host though. they will rape you from across the map with a shotgun.

i played Gears and i have to agree. this game really is the BEST game i have ever played before in my life. i am a big PS fan, but i have to say the 360 is way better than the PS3 in every aspect.
Played it online a couple days after i started playing it at a buddy of mine and what evryone says is true. you do get raped by the host..lol
still can't wait for Halo 3 though

I love Gears of War me and a Friend almost beat it on Insane but we are having trouble defeating Genaral RAAM . Gears is definetly one of The Best games for the 360 so far that and Guitar Hero 2 .

the best way to beat Raam is to each have a lancer and one with a torque bow with max. ammo. Use the bow to dispel the Krill and wail on him with the lancer. trust me, it works a lot better than shooting him with a sniper.

I have played the game and I dont like it very much. The camera is hard to get used to and overall the game itself just wasnt fun.

no. no. no. no. You must be one of those halo nerds or something. Gears of war is a beautiful game that focuses more on the multiplayer, but also gives a satisfying story. I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but just leaving that stupid smiley face at the end made me mad.

Yeah this game is beautiful. I normally have my friend's 7 year old son on the headset just so I don't have to hear people talk, and when they rush me thinking it's just a kid playing,.... Boom Headshot!
