I said that in my post above. The Simpsons in the 90's WAS clever and brilliant humour. It hasn't been like that for 7 odd years. Unfortunately the movie is not as good as the 90's Simpsons but it is still a good film, ordinary in a comedy sense but still passable.
The reason most people still say it is clever humour is because they reference movies/tv shows in a funny way, whereas other cartoons pump out random humour (which is also funny too)
I don't agree with what some critics have said so far, I didn't find the movie that funny but I was expecting the world. I guarantee most people will find it funny though (those who watch the simpsons on an occasional basis) and it will be a huge success.

I agree with u there stappy. I loved the tv series better but I did enjoy the movie, just not nearly as much as ther original series.

Just watched the movie today, I think the movie's pretty good. They made every point of the cartoon a humourous one, I mean every jokes hit the bulleye..quite well. Just like the TV series, they did pretty good in the movies lol.
The joke started right frm the start, 20th Century Fox (check out the corruption lol).

The TV series are good too, how long has it been...the Simpsons been running quite a long time already.
The decision of making it into a movie is really great, just like Transformers..I mean these cartoons been running for ages and many ppl love them.

i dont like the story behind the new Transformers film. the cartoon was awesome but when i learnt that the transformers had a totally different back story it annoyed me. liked the original film though.

I got confused about the storyline actually, but I just play dumb and pretend I'm enjoying the variation of story lol.

Not always but this was still one of the best films I've ever seen. Out of interest, anyone know when PotC: aWE comes out on DVD? The film came out about two three months ago and there's still no DVD...

The movie's sound quality was extremely great (no surprise cuz its THX). Did you guys checked out the last part when the bomb explodes? Thats what I call a blast lol.
