Monks are better and stronger
And almost all magic isnt good enough all magic is what you need they cant use the strongest White and black magic. The red mage class is dead to me

I mostly use weapons anyway but the white and black mages die too easy and I like having spells that heal so I don't have to buy alot of healing items

Definitely White Wizard... In Dawn of Souls, you´ll love watching how a White Wizard kills every single enemy with an Ultima Weapon and being able to heal at the same time 
Every class has an important role, but I guess healing´s more important than anything else.

Red Mage Is no good because it was okay at spells but really sucked at attacking compared to most other classes.

Well i got the remake for the psp only receantly but so far my team stands as such
warrior
monk
red mage
white mage
i didnt really like the black mage because he's to dependant on mp and has crap for armor or health, so i use a red mage in place of him, plus the red mage has more melee power than the black and can heal the white mage when its in danger, which easyily makes him my favorite caster class, but the monk can dish out some massive damage after the red mage casts haste and that spell that ups strength, plus the monk requires NO equipment and still preforms at an amazing level that easily matches the warrior overall, his melee dishes out about 3x that of my warrior tho he has less hp and armor, great for boss battles but the last time i fought a boss my monk did i single attack that crited after i mass buffed him and hit for around 700, which killed him after my warrior had been whacking on the guy for like 4 rounds doin around 200
but i think i havew a really balenced team and cant wait to upgrade their classes, just hope i dont die considering i dont have a memory card..... hehe

I like the Black Mages.They look cool,and after the first boss battle my Black Mage did the most damage using one of his spells and was the only one standing.
But that last part was probably becuase I always forget to heal during a boss battle.
