No, I don't think thats a good idea. I need to update the FAQ periodically when new updates are implemented; and although as a mod I could split the posts, I wouldn't want a whole pile of posts which will probably be spam. And then they'd need to code a bit for allowing you to level-up once you posted there.... I would have said that they should include the link in the level-up topic bit in the RPG, which should help a bit.

no, not level up exactly, just not be able to post. if they plan on being active members, they wouldn't spam. It's a good way of knowing who to keep away from the site by reading their first impressions.

That still doesn't get rid of the problem of me having to split multiple posts when I need to update the FAQ. And I think its going to complicate matters for a lot for new players; I reckon it should be making a thread in the "new members area".

yeah, but making a topic would just take up more space on the servers than just a single post I would believe. I've seen many threads made in the new members forum by members that never became active.

Well, frankly, all I can say is that the FAQ isn't there to approve of people; besides, what else is the new member's area for if not for new players to introduce themselves? Half the people who join don't post there anyway; but then they tend to ask questions which can be answered in the FAQ, making things far worse.

that would lead to people spamming the faq's... which... is sad lol. and really its like ppl reading a license agreement before you insall a program. whens the last time if ever you read it all the way thorugh so you "understood" it before you used the product? i rest my case.
noobs will be noobs and all we can do is carry a big stick and show them the way.

if I carry a big stick, it wouldn't be to show them the way.
How'd we get to this subject exactly? we strayed very far away from the reason of this topic.

Because you suggested that they post in my FAQ.....
I think this sub-forum is what those questions are for anyway; in any case the thread topic is about a sub-forum in the games area.....
