Just beat the game and watched bonus disc *no spoilers*

I liked pretty much everything about the last area and the final boss. I am glad they finally made a tough boss, I always thought it made no sense to struggle in an area leading to the main boss to find out you can kill him in a few seconds without even trying. However knowing SE they will probably make the FF13 boss easier than a level 2 enemy.

A lot of detail went into the art design that is for sure. After I have completed the game I popped the bonus disc that comes along with the FF12 Collectors Edition into my DVD player with 1080i upscaling. The reason I mention the upscaling part is due to how cool the game previews looked when upscaled even if it was prerecorded it looked better than the realtime gameplay on an HDTV. Anyway, they had one segment on the bonus disc that explained the history of Final Fantasy beginning with the first game and up. It was very well done, they showed in game footage, the battle system, key characters, changes introduced in new versions, etc. This was very cool to me since it reminded me of the old games I used to play as a kid.

Man I was so happy when they explained FFVII The funny thing is when they got up to FFX it looked even better than FF12 imo. They gave a lot of details about most of the games but pretty much skipped info regarding FFX2 as if they didn't want to be associated with it heh. Personally I liked the game, but all they said about FFX2 was "the first FF game featuring an all girl cast... ok next game" It may have been because it was a sequel though since they didn't give much info about Tactics and Dirge either. It was entertaining and well worth the purchase.
