Never played Phantasy Star online. I just read a few revies on the net and they say it was awesome and you must have it. I don' get it...How can so many dreamcast games have such great reviws yet the console was dreadful?
Anyway, FFXII looks good. I can't really get excited about it because I know it will be more than a year before I can get my hands on it.

The Dreamcast died because Sega has very poor management when it comes to marketing. They were offering free online access, free modem, free games with console that we wouldnt mind paying for, and they even sent you a $100 check for signing up to their online service. They offered more then they could afford, and died when the PS2 came out. PSO and PSO version two ruled, and I bought a GC just for PSO 3 but it sucks, it doesnt have the same players like the dreamcast servers, plus that is the only online game so barely noone plays it. However I never owned a Sega console my friends did exept for the Dreamcast, because I always seen how poorly Sega just rushes any idea and promote it to heck thinking everyone will buy their systems, but they never worked out. Quality over quanity is always best.
I only bought a DC because at that time it had 128bit gaming as compared to the N64 and PSX, and when I went over my friend's house and played his DC I decided to get one.

man, I spelt "reviews" wrong twice in my post.
Two of my friends bought a Dreamcast the day it came out. And If theres a lesson I've learned its that you never rush into anything. I bought GT4 on the morning it was released for $99 AU, the next day it was $78! (and in another store, so I couldnt refund)
I said to my friends a few months back that whatever the next console is PS3, The Revolution or Xbox 2, I'll get it first thing in the morning when it comes out...I'm starting to rethink that statement.
But I still can't help but think, the day this game comes out..I know I'm gonna get it straight away.

So funny you mentioned that, since I never, ever bought a console expect one time, and it was the Xbox... the games at launch were horrible, and Halo was so overhyped that I thought the console may actually be good. I spent $500 and purchased the controller S (back then they had the really bad controllers) the monster S video cables with optical outputs, and Halo. Well I had 0.3% fun with the Xbox, so I traded it for a PS2. I did that when I found out that Xbox live will be mic only, I dont want to hear little kids on the mic while trying to enjoy a game.
It seems like it is getting some good games now, but I wont support any more consoles released my MS. In fact I am more of a hardcore PC gamer now, because games come out with mods made by third party that the original developers would never release, and bug fixes to keep the game updated. Even Quake III is still around and kicking due to all of the cool mods.

also, dream cast games didn't encode, thus meaning that you could burn them. And that so the games were dirt cheap but the systems were worth so much more. Yea.. it was like a modded ps2...
