 For me, Penelo was FFXII's version of Yuffie (FFVII) and Selphie (FFVIII)... the fairly annoying team-member that I didn't really like on first sight (the first-sight thing did not really match Penelo this time, though), but ends up accepting in some way.

But Penelo doesn't have that "OMG! I'M SO HYPER I'M GOING TO BLOW YOU UP BY ANNOYING YOU SO MUCH!" ... There's just nothing to love about Penelo.
Balthier. Aho. He. Is. Amazing. I love him more than everyone else.
Basch... is too weird... Vaan is too stupid... Ashe is a b****... Hmn. Penelo... is... ugh. Fran? She's a gag.
Sky pirates are better. =D
P.S. Larsa is actually my favourite character, but he's a NPC unless he joins your party as a guest. =(

You are perfectly right about Penelo.
I agree 100% about Balthier, feel the same ^^
Basch is cool when he first shows up, but after changing his clothes he becomes kinda weird, just like you said.
Vaan is stupid, like when he says "I can't help my brother now" uhhh !
Ashe is cool, nothing is wrong with her, Fran too.
I thought Larsa is a girl when I first saw him.

I haven't had the time to change it. I made that with an official image before the game was released. My apologies, haha.
