2007 Cricket World Cup
I thought I should start a thread on this since there's the ashes thread in the tv section lol.
Here is the fixture anyway: (current ICC rankings in brackets)
Pool 1:
Australia (1)
South Africa (5)
Netherlands (16)
Scotland (12)
Pool 2:
Sri Lanka (2)
India ( 8 )
Bangladesh (11)
Bermuda (15)
Pool 3:
New Zealand (3)
England (7)
Kenya (10)
Canada (14)
Pool 4:
Pakistan (4)
West Indies (6)
Zimbabwe (9)
Ireland (14)
The top two team of each pool should go through to the finals, but Zimbabwe might also be a chance. Honestly, lol, I'm shocked the Netherlands and Bermuda even have a cricket side lol.
Anyway I think Australia still have a huge chance of winning their 3rd world cup victory in a row despite losing the Comm. bank series last week. In fact according to centrebet Australia are red hot favourites to win again.

Its a knockout once you get to the semis I think so one slip up and you could be out which makes it tough no matter how good you are.
Id like to think England can win but im gonna have to go for teams like India and Pakistan because I think the conditions of the West Indies may be similar to what there used to. That also means the West Indies have a chance.

Australia lost against New Zealand today. I think they need to win a match soon or it wont be good for them come the world cup. They seem like England were 3 weeks ago out of confidence and always losing.

I think you should start getting really worried if they lose there next match against New Zealand by 10 wickets or close to it. You could let them off for this match since theyve had to travel to New Zealand after a long one day series in Australia thats just finished last week.

Wellity wellity wellity, Australia has beaten England by 5 wickets in their warm-up match, lol. Well warm-up matches count for nothing but I have to say that would no doubt boost Australia's confidence.
I still think the Aussies bowling attack is too-weak, but we do have the best batting line up. I've watched a few warm-up matches and it seems the pitches are turning a bit so I think it will favour the spinners. One team which has a speciality for spinning is Sri Lanka who is one of my tips to win. New Zealand also look strong.

Teams left for the semi finals I think.
Australia
New Zealand
South Africa
Sri Lanka
My team England are now out. We played really bad against South Africa. We just don't score quick enough. First 5 overs and we scored 7. Take a chance someone.
I think New Zealand or Australia will win now. Im not sure how the draw is done but an Australia V New Zealand final would be good.
