need help
I am writing a story, but I have a block right now. Do you think I should have the main character go on a humongous quest, fight a war, or deal with betrayel?

betrayal can always be a great twist in a good story but i guess it depends on the writer.

none of them, put an utterly huge plot twist were the main caracter goes insane, then the story focuses on a bunch of cahracters try to stop his insanity, then they stop it and the first main charcter befriends the saviors

Well, the war and the betrayal ideas are very connected... So I think I´ll stick with those two, maybe he in called to a war, he has a truly good friend, that for some reason, betrays him... I´ll leave you the rest

make the story progress however you want but at the end, reveal that the main character who you thought was the hero is really the villan and all his efforts were got an evil purpose. then you have to write the sequal.
