I've played the demo of it and the controls are still the same as the first, which is good I spose. One difference is seen when you advance in ages. you get to pick a card (out of 2) which will decide what bonuses you receive for the next age. If you've played age of mythology then you know how this works. Another new thing is this "Home town" thing. When you explore, gather goods, build new buildings etc you gain 'experience' and this experience fills a meter, once it's full you can choose a crate of goods to bring in from your hometown. I like this but it gets complicated when you're trying to fight a battle. I started disliking Microsoft's RTS game with Rise of Nations because they are way too complicated in the later ages.
