inever had trouble with the final boss on ff5 i had a red mage maxed out so i had 2x magic so healing status effect was easy. ff4 s final boss was far more difficult had to do some serious lvling up after that but did beat it.

Really FFIV was THAT hard??? I think FFV´s Omega and Shinryuu are the most difficult bosses I´ve challenged... I only played up to FFVI, though... (PS emulator won´t work in my PC)
I think the best of the three SNES FF games is FFVI, even though it´s sort of easy...
BUT, I also like FFV for the job system... It is pretty impressive (I never got one of the characters with all jobs mastered  )

well... FFV IS a real challenge... As malific said Omega and Shinryuu are no easy bosses... Shinryuu´s Tidal Wave... or his Snowstorm... THEY ARE CATASTROPHIC TECHNIQUES!! 8000 damage to all... Is that easy?
And Neo-Exdeath isn´t esay anyway...

actually, most monsters depend on the lvl, but some bosses dont, they give you a headache even if you are lvl 99, ff8's ultimate weapon was almost imposible if you didnt had squall's freaking ultimate tecnique. Some midbosses are extremely hard too.
i am proud to say i played ev ff game even cc twice or more  cept for ff 11 and 3 i think. ( i dont count in the american way, i use the original numbers)
btw i cc was a great game in all but i hated that they made clasical monsters like behemoth so weak, also i dont think that they had anyone from squaresoft working with them. I hate nintendo for doing that, i also hated the fact that there wasnt anything else from any previous ff 'cept for the miasma, not even summonings.
i dont want to call you slackers but those were easy to handle if you lvled up nicely, and it wasnt hard either. I really had HUGE trouble with the ones at the middle of ff tactics, those vampires that you find in a catacoombs were you are supposed to learn ultima (1 of the 2 places u can do it), at that point in the history you cant lvl up easily and its really anoying that they are way stronger than you. I managed it in the first or second time i think, but it surely was the hardest i think. either that or ff7's desert rose or ruby something, i only reached lvl 79 with cloud i *think* but i couldnt kill it. I remember there being more thought monsters and all but i cant recall who they were.
ps: ff 12's crimsom cave wasnt a run on the milk either.
btw im not sure since i dont remember that well but i think malific might be right, that one was hard if i remember well. still mine were really hard.
ps2: try more games like ff tactics if you like ff or ff tactics, ff tactics is half of what it could have been, specially if it was in ps2 like disgaea.... that would have been something to see.

I have played all the ff and i own 1-8 and 10 10-2 and i have finished 7 8 9 10 10-2 and am finishing5 and almost finished 4 which is quite good considering some people cant even beat the first boss of some of the games

I still say FF6 was the better game than 7... though the job building in 5 was the hardest part... having to sit through endless battling just to get enough points to earn the attacks/techs... one reason I dont play Tactics very often... I have played every Final fantasy with the exceptions of FF3 (never found a good rom and it wasnt released here), FF11 (no money to spare for the monthly MMO charge), and FF12 (since its yet to be released here as far as I know)... So far I have only beaten 1, 6 and 9... the rest, I got pretty much to the end... though I lost my FF5 game save on my memory card, which really sucked...
