The one thing that I will get the PS3 for is this:

Playing FFVII with AA or even Burnout that is jaggy but with AA it will look amazing.

Interesting article, and I'd have to agree with you, that would have to be one of the strongest points of the PS3. I really can't wait for the PS3, mostly for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, but so far it's library is already gonna be HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah in fact I haven't been this excited about a console since the first Playstation. The first Playstation offered us a new gaming experience and I feel that the PS3 will do the same. Plus I like going back to play the older games on a new system because you sometimes forget about how great they games really are.

Same here, partially because I'm old enough to get a job now, and it'll probably be the first console I buy with my own money lol.
Besides, the pictures and footage I've seen of the 360 can't even begin to stand up against what I've seen of the PS3.

woah. i couldent even get past the first few paragraphs before i had to turn away in disgust.
after reading the rest it is obvious that it is seriously slanted toward the playstation. infact #4 itself is true for BOTH consoles to come (As the 360 is offering FSAA and 720p upgrade for all Xbox1 games) infact with the HDD you can even get all new textures for the game downloaded as well.
hell more than half of those points just pointed out minor details that can be matched by the 360 (10,8,5,4,3,1) if not now then soon.
and the other points dont make sense as an advantage: (7,6,3)
#9 is just absurd to even think of it as an advantage. only the richest of gamers can affoard it, and very few games will support it.
and #2 is just oppinion.

Yeah. The Playstation will be the ultimate in technology, that's a given. But to really show off that technology you'd need a multi-thousand dollar TV and sound system. I'll be getting a PS3 anyway for it's games...And hopefully a cool plasma tv too!
I see #3 as the biggest advantage for the PS3.
Don't get too carried away though, lol, this article is meant to create arguments and imprve their website hits. Every time new consoles come out an article like this pops up.

I've had no news on any FFs beyond FF-XII, so until I do MGS4 and RE5 are my primary reasons for getting Sony's latest brainchild. The backwards compatability is a secondary concern for me, but still a major factor.

I read somewhere where they are continuing to create FF games for Sony, and how M$ tried to bribe Square Enix behind the curtain at one of the gaming conferences to develop for the Xbox only heh. Besides why wouldn't they countinue FF games on the Playstation, their constant sell outs of millions of copies gets boring?

i'll probs get it for the quility of the graphics and for these games: resident evil 5 , devil may cry 4 and of corse the new generation of ff...trouble is how the hell im gonna get the money for it!! speaking of which does anyone know what the price (in £'s) is gonna be??

hey i dont doubt that rumor. microsoft's been buying off tons of popular sony developers, no doubt they would try for the biggest of them all.

again, they are getting backwars compatability. full backwards compatability.
they are doing each game at a time since the backwards compatabilty project started late.
knowing microsoft though i wouldent be supprised if 95% of the games are compatable with the 360 by the PS3's launch.
