almost
there are 3 regions rather than the normal 15.
North America and Asia.
Europe and Australia
South america and africa and the rest of the world.

I thought all of the games were multiregional like on PSP and it is just the Blu Ray movies that are regional.

yeah..we need a nintendo must die option, hate it. sony and microsoft might not be comrades in the console war, but atleast they are both trying to deliver the same thing, quality nex-gen entertainment, nintendo is just taking the mick and laughing all the way to the bank.

why sony must die? ps3 is a great system and possible the best system out there. it just got out so you got to give it a chance to let it come out with great titles, like motorstorm, killzone2, Lair, Warhawk, GT5, FF13, MGS4, DMC4, White Knight Story and others. by the end of this year ps3 sales will be through the roof. sony has the most exclusives that ppl actually cares about that is very popular. and the price of the system is a great deal. why do ppl ask, "Is it worth it?"... um duh its worth it, its a better deal than the Wii. compare what the systems have and can do and ps3 beats it, easily. and a little fyi.... ps3 is a longterm system and the wii is a shorttem system, which means, ps3 will last past 5 years while the wii will only last 3-5 years just like the gaycube did. its basically a gaycube with the same graphics and different controller. once ppl realize games from 360 and ps3 is the true next-gen and that the wii remote isn't that great as they think... wii sales will gradually fall behind the ps3. thats why sony did so well with the ps1 and ps2... they made the systems in a way that ppl will still be playing it past 5 years of time, nintendo only makes their systems in a way that it lasts UP to 5 years and just dies and no1 will care about it

All of the games from PS1 and 2 work on the PS3 apart from a couple of games which dont play properly.

its been having problems though, it was having visual problems up till a recent patch.
but there are reports that PS2/PS1 savegames are being corrupted unfortunately.
