FF6 had the most memorable story for me. I don't really recall too much of story of the other games. Well, maybe FFX, but it hasn't been very long since I was playing that one.
I have to Say final fantasy 8. the game was half game play and half story time. Most of the time i was eating dinner or lunch when playing the games cause theres so much cut scenes and talking.

there were more cut scenes in xenosaga. 8= hours wroth to be exact. i did a lot of eating, and as for the question. ff7 for me. it was just so... full.

FFVII has to have the best, one of the first games i played along with zelda: ocarina of time, they are my childhood faviroutes and i still keep playing them, although i hear the pc version of FFVII ruined it, is that even possible?
I enjoyed VII the most, Cloud is still my favorite starting character. It is hard to decide which is the best, but I am going with the one that was the most enjoyable.

In my opinion, X had the most depressing story, which really drew you into to the storyline. I think it also had the best twists out of any story, and the beginning kept you guessing.
WEll I think 7 has the best because it had a more darker storyline with sephiroth going insane and killing Clouds hometown and cloud lost his memory. But how the hell is 10 got a better storyline? Who here who voted for 10 has ever played 7 or 8....9 was crap! Quite good but ncrap storyline.

YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME!!!! FF7 BY A LONG SHOT IS THE BEST STORY AND PLOT EVER!!! THE ONLY WAY U COULD CHOOSE FF6 OR FFX IS IF U HAVENT PLAYED THRU THE WHOLE GAME OF FF7!!!

In any case I'd have to go with either FFVI or FFT, tough choice but made easy since FFT wasn't on the list. I'd go with FFVIII as a distant second, VII would be fourth.. after IX.
yea ff7 had the best story, but the ff series on ps2, they had /boring story line, they spent more time onthe graphics instead of the plot, especially ffx2
