Some advise please
Hi there. I'm having abit of a problem. My PS2 has done something really annoying lately. In the middle of a game, the sound just disappears... really annoying. Its about 3-4 years old (just to your notice). Anyone out there who's been having the same problem? If so, do you know how to deal with it?
To the rest of you, just watching this topic: Do you think it would be waiste of money to buy a new PS2 here about four month from the release of PS3? Please tell me.

That depends if you have the funds to buy a PS3 $600 is a lot to shell out, well it's even more if your in europe.
I personally do not like the Slimline PS2's but I believe they fixed the bug in the system ( ie cooling problems)
If you got the money for a PS3 then I, personally say, wait it out and buy a PS3, if not then you can save up your money and buy a PS3 or buy a PS2? Your call.

the sound problem is probably your audio cables they have loose circuits i call them

It could just be that one of your wires are messed up going into the television. Buy a new cable before you dish out more money for a PS2. And if your not planning on buying the PS3 than just wait until it comes out, the PS2 will price drop.

^^ great advice
you will beable to find the PS2 for easily under $100 new in stores after the release of it.
i wouldnet buy a Used PS2 ever... unless it was a PStwo.
