Junctioning strong magics at ST-Def can avoid being meddled by Bad Breath,try putting in some strong magics into your Spr and ST-Def. Especially Berserk and Confusion shud b stopped,da rest status effect wont' trouble much.

junction death to squalls attack and use r1,
i cant remember if that works, if not, stick quistis in your party and use aura and degennerator, removes an opponent from the game, quite succesful actually.
i never have quistis though,

Or you can junction the Stat Def4x to someone and junction Berserk, Silence, confuse, and Urgh, somethin else that I can't remember and go into battle. Now, when the Malboro uses Bad Breath, it won't infect selected person with magic restricting crap so you cast esuna on them and Quistis. Then you cast Aura on quistis and use her Degenerator.
A simpler way to do this would be to junction Quistis with Initiative and have her hp really low and click o repeatedly until you get her limit break and select degenerator. Either way works fine.
